Dr. Laszlo Harmat, medical director for The Rehabilitation Pavilion at The Weils and affiliated with Precision Orthopaedic Specialties returns to The Weils to present remarks on “Shoulder Osteoarthritis” on Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at 6:30 pm in The Weils community room located at 16695 Chillicothe Road (on Route 306 just north of E. Washington Street) in ChagrinFalls.  The event is free and open to the community and will include an opportunity for questions and answers.

Laszlo Harmat, D.O., is a board certified orthopaedic surgeon who is fellowship trained in conditions of the shoulder, elbow and hand.  He earned his bachelor’s degree in biology fromJohnCarroll Universityand his doctor of osteopathic medicine degree from the Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine.

The Weils, a Montefiore senior community, offers assisted living services, memory care, post-hospital rehabilitation therapies, respite stays, home health care, long-term care and outpatient therapy services to members of the community.

U.S. News & World Report Best Nursing Homes of 2013

Montefiore in Beachwood, Ohio and The Rehab Pavilion at The Weils in Chagrin Falls, Ohio have both received the highest possible overall rating of five stars in U.S. News & World Report’s fifth annual Best Nursing Homes of 2013, available exclusively at http://www.usnews.com/best-nursing-homes. Thirty-six nursing homes in the Cleveland, Ohio, metropolitan area received an overall rating of five stars from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.

The Best Nursing Homes 2013 ratings highlight the top nursing homes in each city and state, out of nearly 16,000 facilities nationwide. U.S. News’s goal is to help users find a home with a strong track record of good care.

Best Nursing Homes draws on data from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), a federal agency that assesses homes in three categories—health inspections, level of nurse staffing, and quality of care—and gives each an overall rating. U.S. News awarded the “Best Nursing Home” designation to homes that earned an overall rating of five stars from CMS in January 2013.

“We are thrilled to receive this notable distinction for both of our senior campuses,” says Lauren Rock, President and CEO of Montefiore and The Weils. “We pride ourselves on the dedication and expertise of our clinical staff members who work tirelessly to ensure that the needs of our residents and patients are met on a daily basis. Our continuum of care campuses offer the full spectrum of services including post-hospital care, long-term care, assisted living services, memory care, hospice & palliative care and home healthcare,” she continued.

Less than one out of every five nursing homes got an overall rating of five stars,” said Avery Comarow, U.S. News Health Rankings Editor. “All seniors deserve the best nursing care available, and these are homes that merit their consideration by demonstrating such high quality.”
